Good news, I broke my leg!

I’m sure everyone who reads this is thinking “how is that good news”? I thought I had torn my ACL. A fractured bone will heal much faster than an ACL injury.

Less Likely To Log

My willingness to document what I do is inversely related to my free time. I have been using twitter as a quick, light weight blog instead of writing a full fledged post here. Having a 140 character limit with many ways of quickly getting a message out is very appealing to the way I use time. When a blog post is constrained to a sentence, there is much less pressure to proof read and I feel no obligation to make the time to read worthwhile.

Villari's Karate Combinations

It has been nearly 2 years since I trained in a dojo. The last time I exited a Villari’s Shaolin Kempo Karate dojo, I was a 2nd degree black belt with all of the material needed to test for my 3rd degree. There are no Villari’s in the Triangle and I have yet to find a dojo I would be willing to attend. Granted, I haven’t spent much effort looking. Life has been busy with getting married, buying a house, switching jobs, etc.

Water Storage Upgrade

Purchased two 300 gallon food grade water totes in an effort to make watering the farm a less costly, more eco-friendly endeavor. Like many other rain barrels, these were listed on craigslist. The main difference is that this guy told us exactly what was in them. The two on my property previously had chicken feed protein.

Pandora.com Game

I’ve had the thought of turning Pandora.com in to a game. The goal would be to start with a channel for one genre and convert it to a completely different genre. Example, start with Classical and then through a series of thumbs (up/down) end up with a techno song. The transition requires a bit of luck and a lot of musical knowledge to figure out the components of each song to direct the musical path.
