Less Likely To Log
My willingness to document what I do is inversely related to my free time. I have been using twitter as a quick, light weight blog instead of writing a full fledged post here. Having a 140 character limit with many ways of quickly getting a message out is very appealing to the way I use time. When a blog post is constrained to a sentence, there is much less pressure to proof read and I feel no obligation to make the time to read worthwhile.
To be truthful, one of my main motivators for this post is just another test of mem_twitter. There have been a few people encountering problems, but it works flawlessly from my dev environment. Even against the Textpattern dev trunk (4.2rc1). I added a bunch of error logging when a site is not in live mode. This should help others diagnose problems they are encountering.
Most of my trips to the txp forums are due to one of the guys posting a link in the #xpat channel. I’m not all that thrilled with the implementation chosen for a few of the features. Having different html for the themes is going to be a support headache for some plugins. I only have one live site left that is still running as a true textpattern install, so it’s not likely that I’ll devote any time to supporting potential variants. Most of my plugins do not mess with the html, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
