Textpattern Admin Plug-ins
Impatience has gotten the best of me. Too much time has passed with no noticeable progress towards the 1.0 release, despite it being slated for release in 4 days. The biggest piece lacking from Textpattern is an plug-in api for the Admin interface. This has required mods for any changes to the admin side of things. I like mods, but it takes a lot more work to document and they are harder to install to an already modded installation. It’s extra work for everyone, so I don’t like it.
A few months back, zem created a mod that allowed for basic admin plug-ins. It never really caught on and is not in the code base. It is a decent implementation so I will do my part and help it along. I modded the latest textpattern code (1.0rc2 rev 61) with these changes. I also created a plug-in that can be used as an example. I plan on porting many of my existing mods to work as plug-ins. Dean, if this conflicts with something you have planned for the 1.0 release, sorry. It was either do this, or get so frustrated that I switched to another CMS (again).

Note: I removed the config.php from the rar file. (I also changed my password)
