A New Look - Web Writer v3

It’s been a while since I’ve done anything with my site. The old look was quite bland. Instead of struggling through another series of designs that hurts the eyes, I chose to use a pre-canned template.

Textplates and Reid Stott came to the rescue. I looked through all of the ’07 Textplate contest submissions and chose Web Writer v3. This style looks nice, doesn’t require me to conjure up a logo or banner out of thin air. Graphics are my kryptonite, as shown by any design that I’ve ever created solo. I can visual what I’d like a site to look like, I am just too cheap (or possibly too proud) to pay some one to create the images that I cannot create myself.

I took this opportunity to also upgrade to the lastest Textpattern release (4.0.5). At my leisure, I will go through my old entries and reclassify them. The categories I’ve used over the years are not really useful for the direction I plan on taking this site.
